The 1st and 2nd rounds of the veterans’ and persons with disabilities league in the discipline of float fishing, held according to the rules of the Croatian Sport Fishing Federation, took place at the Ivanečki ponds on April 18 and 19, and the host of the competition was ŠRD Ivanec.
The competition for persons with disabilities was held on the Barutana stretch, with a total of 12 competitors.
The veterans’ competition was held at the Omladinski pond, with 19 competitors. Fishing was good under the watchful eye of HŠRS judges, and during both days placements were decided by small margins in the catches.
In both rounds a total of 236,908 g of fish were caught at the Omladinski pond, while 106,500 g of fish were caught at Barutana, confirming good fishing during the competition.
The league is held over a total of eight rounds, and the 3rd and 4th rounds will again be held in Ivanec on May 9 and 10.
